This website collects almost nothing, and says so plainly.
We build systems whose whole point is that nothing happens to data without a record of who did it and why. A privacy notice that hedged would be a poor advertisement for that. This page covers this website and email you send us. Data handled for a client is covered by that client's written agreement, not by this notice.
Who is responsible
Progno Labs (Pty) Ltd, Johannesburg, South Africa, is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Questions about this notice, or requests about your information, go to our Information Officer at info@prognolabs.co.za.
What the website itself collects
No forms, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels. Fonts, images and scripts are served from this domain, so loading a page sends nothing to Google or any other third party.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical details of each request — your IP address, browser type and the time of the request — to deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. We do not use that information to identify or profile visitors.
When you email us
Every contact link on this site opens an email. When you write to us we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to include, and we use it only to reply and to continue the conversation you started. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.
We keep correspondence for as long as the conversation it belongs to is live, and delete it on request unless a law requires us to keep it. Our email provider may store messages on servers outside South Africa, under that provider's own safeguards.
Data you send us for an assessment
Operational data — a ward movement extract, for example — is never collected through this website. Before you send any, we agree in writing how it will be transferred, where it will be held, who can see it and when it will be deleted, and we sign a non-disclosure agreement first if you prefer. De-identified extracts are the default; we do not need names to count beds.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to the Information Officer at the address above and we will respond within a reasonable time, without charge for a simple request.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Changes to this notice
If what this website collects changes — for example, if we add a form or analytics — this notice will change before the website does, and the date at the top will move.
